FFC board members election for 2019-2020

Hello Dingeman Families,

It has been my pleasure to serve as FFC President for this school year. We have done a great deal for our school, community and kids this year but it’s only with the help of parents and teachers. To re-cap, we brought back events like Fall Boo-Bash, introduced several NEW after school enrichment programs, and held a Community Food Drive benefiting the San Diego Food Bank. In addition, we continue to have our favorite events such as Family Science Nights, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Bowling, Jog-A-Thon, Spring Carnival, Family Art Night, Family Dinner Nights and so much more. We can only continue to provide these programs/events with parent volunteers. Volunteering does not necessarily have to be for the stay at home parent, it’s for ALL. As the school year is coming to an end, please consider running for the multiple board positions that will become available for 2019-2020 or be a lead for the many committees that make all of our events possible. We will be electing on Executive Board Members and bylaws on April 10 so please consider running for any of the following positions:
- President
- Vice-President
- VP of Fundraising (2)
- Secretary
- Deposit Secretary
- Treasurer
These positions are vital for FFC to run smoothly and continue to provide a more enriching experience for your children here at Dingeman Elementary. Together Everyone Achieves More! Thank you for your continued time, commitment and dedication to Dingeman Elementary. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or speak with any of the previous board members.

Budget request will take place at the May 8th meeting.

Volunteer Opportunities

School Improvements - Message From our President

Are you interested in seeing a better, more beautified, updated Dingeman? If the answer is, yes, then we need your expertise! Looking for volunteers who have experience in construction, architecture, design, or engineering. However, not limited to just those areas as everyone’s input is welcome. Just like our homes, our schools need regular attention and upkeep. Think about the hundreds of students, staff, and visitors that have gone thru Dingeman which can cause a lot of wear and tear. This is exactly why we need this sub-committee and volunteers to help potentially make Dingeman even a better place. Dingeman parents have a lot of talent, so let’s utilize each one of our individual talents and come together to create even a better environment for our children. This committee will not involve a great deal of time but looking for some motivated individuals who have an interest in making some change around the school. We need your advice, ideas and experiences. If interested please contact me at President@dingeman.net or 619-368-3061.

Thank You!

Nilesh Patel, FFC President

Art Corp Volunteers Needed

Get involved in your child’s class by volunteering for Art Corps!
Many classes are still in need of Art Corps Volunteers to help teach and assist with art lessons in the classroom. Even if you don't want to teach a lesson, helpers are very important as well! The parent workshops are a lot of fun, and your children will love having you be a part of their art projects! Please talk to your class’s Art Corps liaison or your child’s teacher if you would like to
volunteer for Art Corps. We are looking forward to a wonderful year of Enrichment for our kids.

Questions? Please email Art Corps Program Coordinator Lisa Shadburn at Dr.Lisa_Shadburn@yahoo.com

You Make A Difference at Dingeman!

Be a volunteer!! Without the help of FFC volunteers like you, we would not be able to provide such a rich, exciting, and meaningful school experience for our children. Click here to see all possible ways you can help us.
